The Ultimate Craft Business Masterclass 3 Day Event

I share the techniques, strategies and systems you can put in place to build your craft business to a level that excites you, pays you a living wage and is nolonger a drain on your time and energy.

Being a great crafter doesn't automatically make you a great business person. We can change that! You didn't wake up one day an expert at your chosen craft, you were shown and taught the techniques. It's the same in business. Let me show you how you can achieve your business goals without waiting years. Let's get you RESULTS NOW!

In just 3 Days we will cover...

How your business looks now and what you want it to look like. We call this your vision.

What process your customer goes through to make a purchase. We call this your customers journey.

Where you sit in the marketplace? This is known as positioning.

Do you have the mindset of a successful business owner? What you need to do to change that?

Marketing your business like a professional. From promotional advertising to emails and social media posts. I'll share how the experts write copy to engage your customer.

Being a great crafter doesn't automatically make you are a great business owner.

Running a business can be hard but it's a lot easier if you ask someone who's been there and done that.  Sometimes we just don't know what we need to know. Educating yourself and asking for help can stop your business being stagnant and give you the motivation to move forward.

Beat the statistics, work on you and your business to create success.

Some of the most common reasons for not moving forward I hear are...

  • I haven't got enought time.
  • I can't afford it.
  • I don't want to be a big business.
  • I need to work on my confidence first.
  • I'm not big enough yet.

To grow you need to get out of your own way... stop procrastinating?

  • We're all busy, if you really want to grow you will find the time.
  • To make money you have to spend money. If I asked you for £1000 which increased your turnover by £15,000. Would you concider that a good investment?
  • You grow the size business that suits you and your lifestyle. I'm just the instructor, you make the decisions.
  • Confidence will come by the people you surround yourself with. Working with other like minded people and seeing how they value you and your products will naturally build your confidence.
  • It doesn't matter what size business you have or even if you only have an idea and haven't started yet. Learning what you need to know as soon as possible will help you build a business that works for you.

Meet your host...

Hi!  I'm Paula Scanlan. I'm pretty sure you're wondering who I am and why I am the right person to show you how to grow your craft business. The simple answer is I've been in your shoes at one point point or another and I've managed to stay in business. You can't stay in business for over twenty years and not learn what to do and when and understand that you need to change with the times if you want to prosper.

My first memory of being asked for business advice was back in 2010 by a chocolatier. She was at the busy end of the high street and I was at the very quiet, dead end of town. Yet I had customers and she didn't. She asked me to share what I was doing differently to her over a cup of coffee. Over the years many people have approached me with the same question. I would spend hours helping others with their businesses because I get so much pleasure from watching them grow. I can't help myself, I just love sharing my knowledge. During lockdown I had too many customers asking for help. So I took my advice and put it into a training programme so that I could help many rather than one to one. It was the best decision I made. My VIP Group was created and the women in this group have grown from strength to strength. I spend more time now mentoring other businesses than I do selling my haberdashery supplies but that's ok because I have others to do that for me.

So if you want to grow your business, get advice on strategies, pricing, growing your customer audience and attracting the right fit customer/client for you. If you don't want to spend years learning through trial and eerror but would rather be shown how so you can focus on the right things to do, I'm here and ready to help you.

Be warned, I am passionate about helping you. I want you to see results so I'll be sharing a wealth of information.

    Finally one I understand

Posted by Debby on 3rd Dec 2022

I've tried classes before and most of the time I went away, thinking ok, I think I understand it all now. But would then be left with not much to work on still, as they wouldn't be aimed at my area of work. Day one of this one and I literally hit the ground running. :D Really glad I took the chance and invested in it. It's worth it for sure. :) I'm keeping my eye out for the other courses that can help me, as it feels quite freeing to have the penny drop. :)

    Masterclass

Posted by Lesley on 3rd Dec 2022

Not my first course with Paula & certainly won’t be my last. I’ve tried business courses before but to find one dedicated to crafters & the knowledge that Paula has is endless. The classes are very well presented, like you’re all sat having a cuppa & a chat. Paula packs so much in to one lesson, it’s more than good value for money and there’s always the replay if you miss anything. Highly recommended.

    Excellent Training

Posted by Theresa Hodge on 2nd Dec 2022

This was truly an excellent three-day training course. I’ve done business training in the past, although it was a long time ago –. Apart from my feeling that it’s always good to refresh training, I felt this was particularly good because it specifically focused on the craft industry. I’m visually impaired, so it’s always important for me to have a trainer that talks through all their presentation slides – and Paula did just that, so the course was very accessible for me. Thank you. I look forward to doing more training with you.

    Master Classes with Paula

Posted by Anne Robinson on 30th Nov 2022

I have now had a couple of training sessions with Paula. She is very knowledgeable, and she is able to put the facts across in an understandable way. The sessions are in no way intimidating and Paula has a very friendly easy-going manner that makes the time just fly by. Looking forward to my next master class......
